*Hours: Part time positions available*

*Salary Range: $25 – $30*

*Position Summary:*

Overseeing banquet functions

*Primary Responsibilities*

· Banquet Captain will be involved in training & coaching of banquet colleagues.

· Lead and supervise the Banquet team in all aspects of the department and ensure

service standards are followed.

· Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

· Assist in implementing standard operating procedures.

· Follow standard operating procedures and service standards.

· Take an active role with the training and development of new and existing staff.

· Project a pleasant and professional image to guests at all times

· Build and maintain a high level of customer service and staff morale.

· Assist management team to develop action plans to improve performance.

· Perform preshift meetings for all staff for events.

· Expedite food items to be delivered to guest tables.

· Assist and lead the function team in setting up and tearing down function spaces.

· Handle guest concerns and react quickly and professionally in absence of manager.

· Walk through all banquet spaces to ensure proper tear down and cleaning procedures.

· Ensure appropriate staffing levels day of, and make informed decisions to cut staff,

· when appropriate

· Delegate and assign side duties and verify completion prior to sending staff home

· Lead and inspire the banquet team, providing guidance and training

· Maintain the highest standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness, upholding

· reputation for excellence.

· Collaborate with event planners, chefs, and other departments to plan and

· coordinate successful events, from setup to breakdown.

· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards to create a safe and

· secure environment for staff and guests

· Billing events on day of function

· Other duties as assigned
