*Job Description:*

Pelino Athletic Performance Centre is looking for a Physiotherapist to join our team! Our 10,000 sq ft facility includes a top tier team of Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists, Physiotherapy assistants and Kinesiologists. We offer a wide range of treatment services, programs and advanced modalities for all populations including athletes, general populations, acute and chronic conditions. We offer a wide variety of additional services including cognition training, performance training, medical services including hyperbaric medicine, therapeutic pools with underwater treadmills, advanced modalities and recovery services.

This is a full-time position, with potential for growth within the company. Rate of pay is negotiable and will be based on experience and qualifications. We are an ?all-hands-on-deck? kind of team and are excited to welcome additional physiotherapists to our team!

*Key Responsibilities:*

The typical responsibilities of a clinical therapist include but are not limited to:

– Conducting interdisciplinary assessments and treatment of clients with a variety of diagnoses.

– Preparing comprehensive initial, follow up and discharge treatment records that outline findings, recommendations, and program of care.

– Ensure all documentation is aligned with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and WCP standards.

– In collaboration with the inter-disciplinary team, develop patient-centered exercise programs for active rehabilitation with a focus on personalized work conditioning, injury prevention and safe return to work.

– Liaise with referral sources and community providers to discuss patient statuses and ensure their needs are met.

– Educate clients and their families regarding their diagnosis and treatment plan moving forward.

– Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work environment, including equipment, treatment and performance lab and general workspace.

– Regularly follow clinic processes, procedures and workflows.

*Requirements and Qualifications:*

– MScPT, BScPT, or CPA-approved equivalent

– Registered and must remain in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario

– 2-3 years of clinical experience in assessments and treatment and able to balance a heavy patient caseload.

– Clinicians are to maintain their own required insurance, dues, association fees etc. to remain in good standing with their college.

– Experience with third party insurers (e.g. WSIB, MVA) and potentially some experience with long-term disability clients.

– Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

– Maintaining up to date patient charts and documentation

– Reliable and well organized with sound judgement and problem-solving abilities.

– Exceptional interpersonal skills, personable and pleasant

– Exceptional communication skills: Our clinicians or therapists need to give clear instructions and form trusting relationships with patients to encourage them to work towards recovery. They may also need to explain complex medical issues in ways that patients can easily understand. They also must communicate clearly with other healthcare workers, relatives and careers.

– Team working skills: All clinicians will need to work with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients.
