Graduation season always brings a sense of joy and reflection—but this year, the moment feels especially powerful.
Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) is proud to celebrate the Class of 2025, especially the incredible DSF Scholars and Denver Public Schools (DPS) seniors who walked across the stage and into their next chapter. These graduates represent more than academic achievement—they embody resilience, commitment, and the limitless potential that postsecondary education unlocks.

This spring, DSF launched a graduation campaign, “Congrats Class of 2025”, in partnership with Denver7 to celebrate this meaningful moment in the lives of Denver students and invite the community to invest in future DSF Scholars. The response from donors, DSF Alumni, families, and supporters has been extraordinary. Each contribution, large or small, helped honor the accomplishments of this year’s class and fuel the dreams of those still on the journey.
Among the shining examples of what’s possible is Angel Campos (referred to as “Campos” to honor his family’s name), a DSF Scholar who graduated this May from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a degree in Business Marketing. Campos’ story reflects the heart of DSF’s mission: to support, guide, and uplift Denver students every step of the way to college, career, and beyond.

Campos with his DSF Campus and College Advisors
Campos’ connection to DSF began in the halls of West High School, where he met his DSF College Advisor, Federico Rangel, and was later connected to DSF Campus Advisor Kevin McNulty at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Both relationships were critical to his overall post-secondary success. The summer before his senior year of college, Campos joined the DSF team as a marketing and communications intern. Campos originally moved to Colorado from Los Angeles in 2008 and quickly found his place within the local Denver community. His involvement with organizations like DSF and Uplift provided not just professional experience but personal encouragement and a sense of belonging.
“Because of the guidance and presence of DSF in my life, I began to believe in my ability to pursue a degree in business marketing,” Campos shared. “Now, I’m graduating, as the first one in my family, with that degree and stepping into a future I once wasn’t sure I could reach.”
Campos’ journey is not unique—DSF works with thousands of DPS students beginning in 9th grade, offering wraparound support that includes hands-on advising, actionable tools, renewable scholarships, and other resources. DSF’s nationally recognized, evidence-based program helps ensure that students don’t just get into college or a postsecondary program—but that they complete it and move forward with purpose.
As Denver graduates tossed their caps into the sky this May, they reminded us all of the power of education to transform lives, families, and communities. From DPS hallways to college campuses, apprenticeships, and entrepreneurial ventures, DSF students are building Denver’s future—and they’re not doing it alone.
To our 2025 graduates: we see you, we celebrate you, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
To our supporters: thank you for believing in what’s possible. Your continued investment makes stories like Campos’—and so many others—possible.
Let’s keep the momentum going. Make a gift today to support the next generation of DSF Scholars.
