I’m not really sure how to start this post out, I just need advice!
I’m a 20 year old female, I’ll be 21 in December. I live in a small town but take about a 30 min drive from my house and there is a casino right across state lines from me that I’m interested in working at. I’ve been a hostess at my current job for about 5 years now, I started in high school, but I’ve also worked at a bar/pizza place. I can do waitressing, I’m very extroverted and bubbly, but I do have anxiety disorder and get nervous which creates lack of self confidence with myself and sometimes I get in my own head, but I’ve never had a bad experience at a job, I’ve never been fired. I’ve worked restaurant, animal care, and also currently have an Onlyfans.
Appearance wise, I have more of an alternative look. I have bright dyed red hair, a nose piercing, and a septum piercing. I’m 5’0, kinda chubby/curvy. I look about average, nothing I would consider that could get in the way of me getting the job.
The casino I’m interested in hires at 19, and though I have restaurant experience, I have no idea what to expect. I’ve never even been into a casino haha. I don’t know anything about alcohol, is this something that I will need to learn about? What should I expect from an interview? Do I need to dress a certain way, or can I just go with what I would wear for a normal interview? My OF has never been an issue before with any kind of job, I don’t use my real name on it and I know it has the chance of turning up on a background check, but is this something I need to be worried about? I plan on keeping my current job, but starting out if I get hired, I will have limited availability to only Tuesdays-Thursdays, but if it ends up working out well I do have plans on cutting back my availability -or quitting- at my original job and going more full time at the casino (just thinking ahead).. will this work out or do I need to have much more availability to even get hired?
I’m not really worried about customers, I’ve gotten use to the whole customer service ordeal and I know how to handle any kind of interaction from men to women of all ages and all moods.
I would really appreciate any kind of help, advice, or feedback – even if it’s just reassurance. Thanks for reading this whole spiel!
