Hello everyone,
It’s finally time for me to share my story, and I hope my experiences will inspire some of you. I spent about 8 months struggling with job searching, facing many challenges, and it was a very stressful process.
At first, my job search journey seemed quite promising—at least, that’s what I thought. However, things didn’t go as planned. I applied to many companies, sending my resume and cover letters for various positions. Every day, applying for new job postings, sending out hundreds of emails, and encountering rejections took a toll on me. Especially as someone looking for remote work, I felt like I was competing with a lot of candidates, and this mindset made the process even harder for me.
I had days where I couldn’t sleep due to stress, feeling exhausted and drained. I don’t want to sound like I’m seeking pity, but there were days when I went hungry as a form of self-punishment. This was because it deeply affected me that my family had to cover these expenses for me. Each new application and interview was a glimmer of hope, but sometimes that light seemed very faint. Thankfully, I didn’t give up. I kept working on improving my interview techniques, updating my resume, and learning from each failure while trying to stay motivated (which was quite challenging over 8 months).
During this process, I paid for premium access to a range of tools, including LinkedIn (where I sent messages to many people). Only one of these tools proved to be truly beneficial. I found a site that allowed me to send my resume to nearly 200 recruitment firms, and this site proved to be very helpful.
Everything happened a week ago, I secured a full-time position with one company, and just one week later, I started working with another company on a 6-month project, totaling two jobs. Going from searching for a single job for months to suddenly working two jobs was both surprising and overwhelming, but of course, I’m not complaining, especially after 8 months of effort.
Now, I feel a great sense of satisfaction and peace. Despite all the challenges, persisting and fighting through them eventually paid off. My advice to anyone job searching is to never give up. Challenges are temporary, but your determination is lasting, and success will eventually come to you. I hope luck is on your side, and that your days of unemployment end soon.
EDIT: So many people are DMing me for the link; you wouldn’t believe how many. It’s impossible for me to send it individually. Therefore, I’ve added the link to my profile as “recruitment 170+.” I hope this isn’t against the rules and won’t get me banned. I just wanted to share my joy and accept congratulations, but I found myself constantly sending the link. I would love to help you, please don’t get me wrong, but an unbelievable number of DMs have come in, and it’s just not possible.
