DSF Partners with the Denver Broncos Foundation and DMLK | Denver Scholarship Foundation

Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) is proud to announce the partnership with the Denver Broncos Foundation, which will sponsor one of DSF 15 Future Centers, the DSF Future Center at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early College (DMLK). This collaboration marks a significant milestone in DSF’s mission to support students as they plan, prepare, and pursue their higher education goals while opening lifelong doors of opportunity for the Denver community.  

This partnership exemplifies the power of a community coming together with a shared purpose—to lift the next generation of leaders. DSF is incredibly grateful to the Denver Broncos Foundation for their tremendous support in helping this DSF Future Center staff a newly appointed 9th-11th grade DSF College Advisor. This sustained financial assistance will ensure that students continue receiving impactful help as they navigate their educational pathways and explore various career opportunities. In addition, both DSF College Advisors serving at DMLK are also proud DSF Alumni, uniquely positioned to provide personal insight and support to students. They understand the challenges and opportunities students face, strengthening the connections between advisors and students.  

DSF College Advisors work one-on-one with students, offering comprehensive, wraparound support to guide them through every step of the college application process. This includes helping students apply for college, scholarships, and financial aid while also assisting them in selecting a college that aligns with their social, educational, and financial goals. Additionally, advisors facilitate college visits throughout the state and provide workshops on crafting compelling personal statements, prepare for interviews and more. By addressing academic and personal needs, DSF Advisors ensure students are fully equipped to plan for life after high school, helping them make informed decisions about their future beyond their DSF Future Center.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter for the DSF Future Center at DMLK, symbolizing the shared commitment to investing in our youth. One of the Denver Broncos Foundation’s values and pillars focuses on breaking financial barriers to college, aligning perfectly with DSF’s vision of providing equitable access to higher education for Denver students. In attendance were DSF College Advisors and other DSF staff, as well as DMLK Principal Cristina Bissell, additional staff, students, and representatives from the Denver Broncos Foundation.  

The day concluded with a Job Career Panel featuring inspiring speakers, including Romi Bean, CPS Sports Anchor, and former Denver Broncos Cheerleader; Bennie Fowler, Super Bowl 50 Champion; and Justin Webster, Denver Broncos’ Chief Financial Officer. Students had the unique opportunity to ask questions and receive valuable advice as they pursued their dreams. 

This partnership with the Denver Broncos Foundation highlights the importance of community collaboration in creating meaningful, and lasting opportunities for students. Together, we are providing Denver students with the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed, not just in their academic pursuit but in all areas of life. By investing in today’s students, we are helping to build the next generation of leaders.
