Welcome everybody to this webinar. Today we’re going to be talking about mainly student visas and other related topics.
First of all, I want to introduce myself. My name is Sergio Agusti. I’m the sales team leader and legal advisor in Gas and Immigration Group. It would be my pleasure to explain and clarify the immigration process for obtaining a visa to come to Spain.
I’m going to start by explaining what Gas Elimination Group is. Gazelle is a company specialized in offering comprehensive solutions to help people from all around the world to settle legally in Spain. Our mission is to facilitate the immigration process, whether it be obtaining visas, residence permits, or Spanish nationality, by providing personalized and efficient support every step of the way.
Today, we’re going to mainly focus on student visas, helping international students fulfill their academic dreams of coming to Spain. We offer full assistance in preparation and management of the documents, ensuring a smooth legal transition.
In addition, we understand that the legal procedures can be daunting. We also support our clients in finding suitable accommodations by collaborating with trusted agencies and providing legal advice on rental contracts. With Gazelle, the path to a new life in Spain becomes easy and stress-free.
We are here to accompany you every step of the way so you can settle in your new home and enjoy a positive experience.
Now, without any further ado, let’s talk about business. Spain is part of the European Union, which means that residents of other EU countries don’t require visas to come to Spain. This part, however, will focus on study visas for non-European citizens.
To come to Spain on a study visa, you will need a set of documents. First, a valid passport, which must be valid for the entire duration of your studies. Another document is proof of sufficient means, basically a bank statement, showing you have enough funds to sustain yourself in Spain. This can be in your name or provided by a family member (not a friend).
Another important document is a letter of admission from your academic institution. You’ll also need medical insurance coverage for Spain, which can be through a Spanish company or an international company that covers you in Spain.
Additionally, you need a certificate of good health stating you are free from any serious diseases. You will also need a clean criminal record from all the countries you’ve lived in during the last five years. These records, along with the medical certificate, must be legalized by something called an “apostille,” which validates documents for international use.
If your country is part of the apostille treaty, this process will be straightforward. If not, there are other ways to legalize documents for international recognition.
