Phall in Philly

Hi everyone! I can’t believe how fast time is flying here in Philadelphia. As an exchange student from Monaco, I’m still getting used to everything – from the big city life to the crisp fall weather. It’s been such an adventure, and this past week was no exception!

On Saturday, I decided to take a little break from the city and went to a pumpkin patch in Delaware with some friends. I’ve always seen photos of pumpkin patches, but I’ve never been to one before. The drive there was absolutely stunning! The leaves were turning all shades of orange, red, and yellow, and the whole route felt like it was straight out of a movie. I honestly couldn’t stop staring out the window, and we even pulled over a few times to take pictures of the trees because they were THAT pretty! The pumpkin patch itself was so much fun—there were hayrides, cider donuts, and of course, pumpkins of all sizes. It was the perfect way to kick off fall.

On Sunday, I spent some time exploring Boathouse Row with my fellow exchange students. For those who don’t know, it’s this beautiful stretch along the Schuylkill River lined with historic boathouses. We rented a bike and rode along the river trail, and the views were just amazing. The sun was setting, and the water was glistening, making it such a peaceful ride. I even stopped for a bit to take in the view of the city skyline from the river—it’s moments like that which make me really appreciate being here. I feel like I’m getting to know Philly more and more, and I’m loving it.

But it’s not all fun and games right now! Midterms are coming up soon, so I’ve been spending a lot more time in the library. I won’t lie, it’s been tough balancing everything, but I actually enjoy the challenge. It’s kind of satisfying knowing I’m working hard and learning so much in my courses. I definitely have less free time, though. My friends keep inviting me to do fun things, and I’m like, “Sorry, I need to study!”. But it’s okay because I know it’ll be worth it in the end. Plus, there will be plenty of time to explore more after midterms are over!

Anyway, that’s a little update from me. I hope you all have a great week, and I’ll check in again soon!
