Position: Senior Membership Services Representative
Department: Development
Salary Range: $40,000 – $43,000

Reporting to the Membership Manager: The Senior Membership Services Representative role is to generate revenue by communicating our Case for Support of The Shaw’s Membership fundraising appeals for renewal of donor memberships, returning lapsed members and acquiring new donors. As the Senior Membership Services Rep, this position will also oversee weeknight and weekend membership tasks, acting as a point of contact for Membership needs when the Managers are not available.

The successful candidate will be a good communicator focused on donor-centric conversations. What will make them successful in this role is a depth of knowledge about The Shaw Festival along with a general interest and caring in other people and strengthening the arts through philanthropy.
Summary of Responsibilities & Qualifications

Solicit charitable donations in support of The Shaw via outbound phone calling; electronic communication; in person communication, by renewing and upgrading existing Members, renewing lapsed Members, acquiring new Members, and soliciting other special appeals to obtain contributions as required; -
Maintain exceptional customer service standards as a representative of the Shaw Festival by exhibiting strong communication skills, patience, professionalism and a genuine interest in our Members and Patron’s passion for The Shaw and the arts; -
The individual has a significant understanding of the arts and arts-based philanthropy, along with a passion for theatre and support of the artists and artsworkers; -
Being prepared to share deep knowledge about the Shaw Festival, playbill, and plays to help build rapport and advance relationships between The Shaw and patrons and Members; -
Achieve weekly metric targets in support of Membership’s fundraising and personal goals; -
Knowledge of Tessitura – tracking of contacts; coordinating appropriate and timely follow up actions; document feedback; ability to read and research account to understand patron’s depth of connection to The Shaw and their potential; and process donations. Training provided; -
Maintenance and updates of patron Portfolio and Member accounts.
In addition, the Membership Services Senior Representative will maintain responsibilities including:

Act as the primary point of contact for Membership services on weekdays, evenings and weekends, including problem solving for our donors; -
Be a resource for Audience Services and Box Office regarding Membership issues and needs; -
Lead and assist as needed in Membership events including hosting Post-Show chats and other select Shaw events in support of revenue targets and patron interaction goals.
After successfully completing a 3-months probationary period, benefits packages are available for both full-time and part-time employees.
