Why did you go there

Sand is the best thing, my siblings and I would build castles out of sand and spend time exploring the culture. We visited all the tourist sites like cliffs, ancient ruins, caves, campsites and wildlife parks etc. We swim in freshwater lakes and fish in lakes. In the evening, we traditionally cooked fish.

Chi Minh City: Describe A Place You Have Been to Where Things Are Expensive

Where the place is.

The place I want to talk about is Ben Thanh Market, located right in the center of Ho Chi Minh City. This market is one of the city’s oldest and most iconic landmarks, attracting both locals and tourists.

Why did you go there

Two years ago, when my Japanese friend visited Ho Chi Minh City, I had the opportunity to go with him and show him the city. He wanted to buy souvenirs so I took him to Ben Thanh market. As we walked around, my first impression was that the sellers spoke foreign languages very well, but I also noticed that the prices were significantly higher than what I expected.

Explain why you think things are expensive there

I think most of the stuff in the market is expensive because of its popularity amongst tourists. This is a common trend in many tourist destinations around the world, where prices are rising due to high demand. Additionally, the market is located in the city centre, where the cost of living and doing business is generally higher.

Shimla: Describe A Place You Have Been to Where Things Are Expensive

Where the place is.

I have travelled to many places in India, but the one I am going to talk about is Shimla. It is a hill station three to four hours drive from my house. It’s an expensive place. Shimla is a beautiful and charming place with hills, providing much-needed respite to people who come from warm regions.

Why did you go there?

I went there around December and it was a promising time to visit. Shimla is stunning, showcasing the natural beauty of a hill station and why people love it. However, this place is very expensive.

I was traveling around Mall Street and everything was so expensive that they were competing. Things that I could buy near my home for a hundred rupees were sold for a thousand rupees.

I bought a simple painting of a dancer there, it was perfect. It cost around 1500 rupees, but after many months I went around Chandigarh and found the same painting for 600 rupees. I was shocked and thought about why I spent money there, but I thought it was a great experience visiting Shimla and a perfect place.
